Fans of soap opera alum Martha Byrne (ex-Lily Snyder, As the World Turns; ex-Andrea Floyd, General Hospital) will want to check out the actress' heartwarming new play.
Titled In the Car with Blossom and Len, it follows Holly (Patricia Randell) and Fern (Byrne), whose parents were wildly unpredictable, endearingly neurotic, and blatantly dysfunctional. Now in their eighties, the parents are facing the biggest crises of their lives, and it's up to Holly and Fern to lend a hand. States the show's official website, "In the Car with Blossom and Len is a smart, biting and poignant comedy about growing up and growing old -- not necessarily in that order."
Tweeted Byrne of her new project: "Doing a play, creating a character from scratch, rehearsing for weeks, then sharing journey with an audience... ultimate job for an actor."
