R&B star, Usher, has filed for divorce from his wife of two years, Tameka Foster.
According to celebrity tattle site, MediaTakeOut.com, Usher filed for divorce late Friday afternoon in Fulton County, Georgia "to avoid media attention." The site had also reported for several weeks that the Raymonds were close to officially splitting.
People, meanwhile, reports that Usher was spotted out this weekend with friends at a bar in Los Angeles. The evening before the divorce papers were filed, Tameka and three of her children were seen at a suburban Atlanta movie theater.
Best-known for his musical career, the five-time Grammy winner appeared briefly on The Bold and the Beautiful in 1998 in the role of Raymond. Usher has also appeared in numerous film and television roles.
Usher and Tameka were married in August 2007. Almost immediately, the pair was dogged by tabloid reports that their marriage was one of "convenience." Usher's most recent album, Here I Stand, failed to live up to expectations, prompting industry insiders to blame the flop on Tameka's insistence that Usher dump his mother as his long-time manager. Several months ago, Usher rehired his mom and the crooner has been in the studio working on a new album.
The couple has two children: 18-month-old Usher Raymond V, and six-month-old Naviyd.
