Just one year after the reemergence of Spectra Fashion, it appears the design house might once again be shuttered. Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra) shared on Instagram that she is exiting The Bold and the Beautiful.
"I've been waiting for the right time to say this, but I've realized the more I wait the longer it takes me to move on and accept life's new chapter," Hope shared on Instagram. "Thank you to all the Sally and Spectra fans! Your love and support has meant the world and I will miss you all. Hopefully Sally can return to ‘Los Angeles Fashion' soon, but until then.. I love you all."
Courtney Hope made her splashy debut in January 2017 and, over the course of the next twelve months, found herself covered in cake, buried under the rubble of the Spectra building, and shooting the replica of a skyscraper. If her Instagram message is any indication, the actress loved every minute of it.
"It's been the greatest year, and I will forever be thankful for my time as Sally Spectra. Being blessed to grace your homes and screens with love, light and the pursuit of dreams and truth. It's been an honor to be apart of @boldandbeautifulcbs , and I am grateful for the memories and friendships made! God apparently has new and bigger plans for me at the moment and I can't wait to see what those are! Again, I love you all and I hope to entertain and hangout with you again very soon! #TeamSpectraforLIFE #WeSpectrasLoveYou."
Prior to joining the daytime family, Hope had featured roles in the series Transparent and Quantum Break.
A final airdate has yet to be announced. The actress has not revealed her future plans, but in a 2017 interview with Soap Central, Hope revealed that she had tested for a role on General Hospital.
"I tested for GH before I landed [my B&B role], and we met the week before I knew I was testing," she recalls. "We just kind of hit it off immediately, but it was like, 'Well, let's see what happens with my audition.' And then it didn't go in that direction, so we were like, 'Okay, now we can date!' [Laughs] Because you know the whole working thing and dating each other? So once that was over and I didn't get the role, I was like, 'Okay, let's do this!"
Could she pop up on another soap in the future? You'll just have to stay tuned. The Bold and the Beautiful, meanwhile, does not comment on contracts.
UPDATE (March 20, 2018): Courtney Hope took to Twitter with a message for Soap Central fans that... let's just say has just as much intrigue as the "Who Shot Bill?" storyline.
