Nobody does a sexy, brooding soap opera character like Jacob Young, who's known for portraying The Bold and the Beautiful's Rick Forrester, General Hospital's Lucky Spencer, and All My Children's J.R. Chandler. But as his fans know, he's an actor who can wear many hats -- and the cap he's donning next has everyone ready for the holidays.
Young has booked the role of Mark in the upcoming Lifetime film The Road Home for Christmas, which is being directed by Peter Sullivan, produced by Brian Nolan, and edited by Randy Carter.
The holiday flick follows two rival musicians -- Lindsay (Marla Sokoloff) and Wes (Rob Mayes) -- who perform in a dueling piano show but suddenly find themselves without a gig on Christmas Eve. With nothing else to do, the pair go on a drive and find themselves saving a nativity party, surviving a snowstorm, and performing onstage in Nashville with a celebrity singer (played by Marie Osmond).
Being that Young is an accomplished singer-songwriter himself, his role in this holiday film seems like a natural fit. He frequently releases country music, including his latest tune, which you can hear in the Instagram video below.
Lifetime's The Road Home for Christmas is set to make its premiere on Saturday, October 26, at 8PM.
