Hold onto your hats, Days of our Lives fans, because an ultra dramatic roller-coaster storyline is on the horizon.
The writers for the NBC soap have penned plenty of excitement for the characters of Salem in 2016, which fans can read about in Soap Opera Digest's preview for the New Year. But the upcoming storyline that's creating quite a ruckus is one in which an unnamed Salemite brutally kills a beloved character.
"A major character is murdered in cold blood," the show's executive producer, Ken Corday, revealed to the magazine. "This will be the biggest thing in Salem and the ripple effects will be felt for many, many months."
Fans have already begin speculating about which character will soon bite the dust, with many guessing it will be Daniel (ex-Shawn Christian), who's rumored to die in a horrific car accident caused by a drunken Eric (Greg Vaughan) this week. But is that the "cold-blooded murder" Corday is referring to, or will an unrelated tragedy rock Salem in 2016? Looks like fans will have to tune in to find out!
