After months of (im)patiently waiting, Days of our Lives fans will finally see Freddie Smith back in the role of Sonny Kiriakis.
The actor returns to the screen this Tuesday, July 26, in a long-term capacity that just may see Sonny headed in a brand new direction.
As fans may recall, Smith last returned to the show for the funeral of Sonny's late husband, Will (Guy Wilson). Now that the character has had some time to grieve, rumor has it he just may rekindle a romance with his former flame, Paul (Christopher Sean).
Smith himself has kept mum about storyline details, but he did tease to Soap Opera Digest that the writers have shaken things up for his alter ego. "You're going to see Sonny interacting with everyone," he teases. "I get to work with a lot of new people."
