Days of our Lives star Brandon Barash (Jake DiMera; ex-Johnny Zacchara, General Hospital) just shared another "watch till the end" video, and this one is even better than the last! (And that's saying something, because his last video showed the actor performing a holiday tune in his underwear!) This time, the actor took to Instagram with a video that shows him proposing to his girlfriend, Isabella Devoto.
As can be seen in the four-minute clip (below), Barash chose to take Devoto and his seven-year-old daughter, Harper, on a scenic hiking trip for the special moment. As a way to secretly film the proposal, Barash asks Devoto and Harper to pose for a family photo -- which is actually a video rather than a simple pic!
After "the picture" is finished, Barash pretends to fall and experience an injured ankle, which is really just an excuse for him to get down on one knee and pop the question!
"I imagine my life without you, and it sucks," Barash declares, holding the ring in one hand and Devoto's hand in the other. "So, I want nothing more in this life than to be your husband."
Devoto leans down to hug him, but she can't stop her tears from flowing. "She's crying, I think it's a no," Barash teases. Harper is seen crying, as well, as Barash finally places a diamond engagement ring on Devoto's finger.
At the end of the video, Barash has a special message for his daughter. "I had no idea we'd end up here," he tells her, "but we're here because of you." Harper squeals in delight as she hugs her new stepmom-to-be and declares, "I'm so happy for you two!" Then Barash presents Harper with a diamond of her own -- or, rather, two diamonds in the form of diamond earrings!
Barash made his relationship with Devoto "Instagram official" in December of 2020 with a photo that showed the pair on a -- what else? -- hike!
The couple has since grown closer and closer, with Barash recently posting a photo of him happily gazing at his love with the caption, "I find it impossible not to look at her this way."
Barash joined DAYS in March of 2019, having previously played General Hospital character Johnny Zacchara for nine years. He shares his daughter with GH actress Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones), to whom he was married from 2013 to 2016.
