Days of our Lives fans were thrilled to welcome back Lamon Archey and Sal Stowers as popular pair Eli and Lani Grant in February, but sadly, this latest stint is about to end.
According to Soap Opera Digest, Eli and Lani will be off the canvas again after this week. On Wednesday, they finally get some good news about Paulina's health and have to decide what to do with their future.
Their lives were put on hold when Lani was sentenced to prison after killing her abusive biological father, T.R. Coates. Now, Lani has finally been released following a furlough last summer when she believed Abe Carver had died. Now that Lani is free for good, she and Eli weigh a job offer out of Salem and decide to make the move with their twins, Jules and Carver.
Sal Stowers joined the cast of DAYS back in 2015 as Abe's never-before-heard-of daughter with long-ago love Tamara Price. We eventually learned that Tamara and Abe were not her parents at all. Tamara's sister, Paulina, gave birth to Lani and let Tamara raise her to keep her away from T.R.
Archey began playing Julie's grandson Eli in 2017. Eli's parents are Julie's late son David Banning and his former girlfriend Valerie Grant. Both Stowers and Archey left the soap for good in 2022 but made a brief comeback in 2023 to attend Abe's funeral. When Abe turned out to be alive, Lani was the one who rescued him from crazy Nurse Whitley, who was keeping him hostage.
The door is always open for another Stower and Archey return, so time will tell if the Grants pay another visit to Salem soon.
