Emmy winner Jonathan Jackson (Lucky Spencer) will exit his role on General Hospital the week of December 19.
Citing show sources, Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Jackson's exit from General Hospital is "a done deal." A source tells Soap Central, however, that ABC might be trying to make one last play to keep Jackson on board.

Jackson returned to General Hospital in October 2009 after a 12-year absence from the show. Jackson made his daytime debut in October 1993. During his initial six-year run with the ABC soap, Jackson picked up three Outstanding Younger Actor trophies at the Daytime Emmys.
Jackson picked up his first Outstanding Supporting Actor Emmy win earlier this year.
It is unclear at this time if Lucky will be written out of the show, or if the role will be recast. Lucky was previously played by Jacob Young and Greg Vaughan.
Young, who appeared as Lucky from 2000 to 2003 earned a Daytime Emmy for his work in 2002. Young appeared as JR Chandler on All My Children after leaving GH. Young recently signed a short-term contract with CBS's The Bold and the Beautiful.
Vaughan portrayed Lucky from 2003 to 2009.
An ABC spokesperson "could neither confirm nor deny" Jackson's impending exit.
