UPDATE:
The official DWTS cast list was announced this morning, and while sources at ET Online had "early confirmation" of Samms' participation in season 23, it turns out the publication's sources were wrong. Unfortunately for GH fans, the UK-born actress will not be taking part in DWTS this season as falsely reported. However, here's hoping the buzz surrounding the previously "confirmed" rumor translates to Samms being considered for season 24!
Here's the original story:
The rumor mill had General Hospital's Robert Palmer Watkins (Dillon Quartermaine) as a contestant for season 23 of Dancing with the Stars, but it turns out Emma Samms (ex-Holly Sutton) will be the real Port Charles resident vying for a Mirror Ball trophy this year.
The official list of contestants won't be announced until August 30, but ET confirms Samms, who last appeared on GH during Anthony Geary's exit as Luke last summer, is on the list. Other confirmed contestants include The Brady Bunch star Maureen McCormick, Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte, singer/songwriter Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, Little Women star Terra Jole, Wizards of Waverly Place actor Jake T. Austin, and model Amber Rose.
This year's full DWTS cast will be revealed on Tuesday, August 30, on Good Morning America, and the new season of the popular reality series premieres Monday, September 12, at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
