The CW's upcoming reboot of Aaron Spelling's classic 1980s soap opera Dynasty is getting soapier by the minute. Hot on the heels of the news that Melrose Place alum Grant Show has been cast in the role of wealthy patriarch Blake Carrington comes word that General Hospital alum Brianna Brown (ex-Lisa Niles) has also joined the cast.
The Minnesota native and Devious Maids alum took to social media to share the details about her new gig.
"My next project! For those who remember the original Dynasty, I'll be playing the iconic role of Claudia Blaisel!" she wrote.

As Soap Central previously reported, this modern version of the soap opera -- from Gossip Girl creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage -- is described as a modernized reboot that follows two of America's wealthiest families, the Carringtons and the Colbys, as they feud for control over their fortune and their children," as told "primarily through the perspectives of two women at odds: Fallon Carrington -- daughter of billionaire Blake Carrington -- and her soon-to-be stepmother, Cristal, a Hispanic woman marrying into this WASP family and America's most powerful class."
The character of Claudia Blaisel was previously played by Pamela Bellwood.
