Former General Hospital villain Jeffrey Vincent Parise (ex-Carlos Rivera) has booked a kick-butt role on the CW's primetime drama, Supernatural.
The actor took to Twitter to confirm the exciting news, writing: "It's true! There's a new sheriff in town at @cw_spn. Couldn't be more excited about this show and this character! Details 2come."

Judging from the thrilling promotional trailer, it looks like Parise's alter ego has some kind of evil power -- when he clenches his fist, people begin choking as though he is strangling them.
Parise's former GH castmate Matt Cohen (Griffin Munro) was excited by his buddy's news, especially considering he has played the younger version of Jeffrey Dean Morgan's character John Winchester on the series. "Yes brother! Welcome to the #SPNFAMILY!" he wrote.
Parise responded, "Thank you, my man! Looking forward to the family reunions!" -- which prompted fellow GH fan favorite Ryan Paevey (Nathan West) to jump in with the joke: "Is there some sort of application I gotta fill out?"
The new season of Supernatural kicks off on Thursday, October 12.
