Talented actress Chloe Lanier (Nelle Benson) has left quite a mark on General Hospital viewers and cast members, so the ABC soap opera threw the exiting star a special goodbye party.
"It wouldn't be a proper GH goodbye without cake! Chloe Lanier, we miss you already," wrote the show's official Twitter handle to the actress, who wrapped up her time on the series this week.

As Soap Central previously reported, Lanier declined to renew her contract earlier this summer. The news came as quite a blow for fans and the show, as she had quickly become a viewer favorite.
Lanier first appeared on GH as young Patricia Spencer in flashback scenes connected to Anthony Geary's (Luke Spencer) exit storyline back in 2015. The powers that be were so impressed, they brought the actress back to the canvas the following year in the newly created role of Nelle. Lanier's costars were impressed with the Texas native, as well, which is evident in their heartfelt goodbye messages.
"Today in Port Charles is bittersweet for me," shared Laura Wright (Carly Benson) about her goodbye with Lanier. "Thank you, Chloe Lanier. It's been one hell of a ride!"

Wrote James Patrick Stuart (Valentin Cassadine): "It won't be the same around here... like, ever again. But how lucky the next place is."

"Whether you loved her, or loved to hate her, everyone can agree on this lady's talent," wrote Josh Swickard (Harrison Chase). "Thank you for helping me find my footing on this show. You're a phenomenal person and actress. Sad day on set (except Chad Duell -- what the heck, haha). I am a fan of your work Chloe Lanier, and I can't wait to watch your career."
Wrote Steve Burton (Jason Morgan): "We know now how well deserved your Emmy is from watching your performance through out this story. You are a rockstar. You will soar. Continue to work as hard as you do and nothing will stop you. All the best to you."

She also teased that this might not be the last of Nelle, who may have been carted off to prison but is still alive and kicking.
"Thank you to all of my passionate and lovely General Hospital fans!!!," she wrote. "I love you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for helping make the past two years some of the best of my life. Also...Nelle isn't dead. She isn't done."
