They're not really his kids, but that isn't stopping General Hospital's Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) from beaming over the news that Ava and Grace Scarola, who play the role of Avery Jerome Corinthos, have booked another primetime role.
The twin girls will be guest-starring as a young Alicia Mendoza on ABC's soapy drama Grand Hotel, which GH fans know also stars Sonny's former on-screen son, Bryan Craig (ex-Morgan Corinthos).
"I'm a proud dad," Benard shared on Twitter when he read the news of the twins' new gig, for which an airdate has yet to be announced.

ABC soap fans will be happy to know that the Corinthos-sibling angle isn't the only exciting thing about Ava and Grace Scarola's casting on Grand Hotel. The adult Alicia, the character they're portraying as a child, is played by former All My Children star Denyse Tontz (ex-Miranda Montgomery).
The Scarola twins seem to be on a winning streak when it comes to booking jobs. They recently announced that they have also landed the role of Emily on the CBS All Access show Why Women Kill, a Marc Cherry series that follows the story of three women living in three different decades: a housewife in the '60s, a socialite in the '80s and a lawyer in 2018, each dealing with infidelity in their marriages. According to IMDb, their Why Women Kill episode is scheduled to air on Thursday, October 10.
Ava and Grace Scarola joined GH as Sonny and Ava's (Maura West) daughter in 2014 and quickly won the hearts of fans of the ABC soap opera. Time will tell whether their recent primetime success will affect their future at GH.
