Actress Nazanin Boniadi came and went on General Hospital, only playing the character of Leyla Mir for a short time from 2007 to 2009. However, her time as a nurse in Port Charles was quite memorable, which makes her latest project pretty exciting. She's starring opposite Charlize Theron, Margot Robbie, and Nicole Kidman in the much-buzzed-about film Bombshell.
Boniadi is set to play former Fox News correspondent Rudabeh "Rudi" Bakhtiar in the film that centers around female Fox News employees and their allegations of sexual misconduct against the channel's founder, Roger Ailes (John Lithgow). Margot Robbie is playing the fictional role of Kayla Pospisil, Charlize Theron stars as Megyn Kelly, and Nicole Kidman stars as Gretchen Carlson.
Boniadi posted a photo of herself with Bakhtiar on Instagram, which she captioned, "I truly hope I do this courageous woman justice in my portrayal of her in @bombshellmovie. I've known her for over a decade and have tremendous respect for her tenacity, resilience and love for Iran."
She continues, "I was a fan before I ever had the pleasure of meeting her. Any news network would be lucky to have @rudi_bakhtiar. One of the first successful, Iranian public figures I was aware of in America. Keep shining, Rudi."
Bombshell is due in theaters Friday, December 20. Check out the teaser trailer and let us know your thoughts in the Comments section below.
