A family reunion is in the works at General Hospital, where Jason (Steve Burton) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) will soon be getting a little quality time with their son, Danny. Actor Porter Fasullo shares that he has returned to the ABC soap opera just in time for the holidays.
The young performer shared his exciting return news on Instagram with a photo of himself outside the show's studios that he captioned, "It's good to be back!"
Fortunately, it doesn't look like viewers will have to wait long for Danny's return -- rumor has it he'll be back on-screen this Friday, November 20!
As for what fans can expect storyline-wise, it's quite possible that Danny will finally -- finally -- be getting a little bit of stability in his life. As GH co-head writer Chris Van Etten recently shared with Soap Opera Digest, his parents' relationship will be as smooth as ice this winter.
"Jason and Sam are experiencing something that they haven't had together in years -- some peace and stability in their relationship," Van Etten previewed. "This supercouple is now figuring out what it means to be together day-to-day again. Jason and Sam are going to learn new things about each other and find different ways to relate to each other."
How Danny might fit into Jason and Sam's peaceful period remains to be seen, but most fans probably agree that the kid deserves a break. After all, he's been at the center of Port Charles drama since the day he was born -- well, before that, actually, if you count the storyline in which his paternity was questioned and everyone thought he might be Franco's son!
Fasullo stepped into the shoes of Danny in June of 2019 as an unexpected recast of T.K. Weaver, who had been playing the role since 2016.
