A new character is headed to General Hospital this week, and it sounds like he has the potential to be a game-changer. Evan Hofer has joined the ABC soap opera as Dex, who will first appear in the Friday, May 6, episode when he asks Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) for a job.
Hofer took to Instagram to share his enthusiasm about his GH gig, sharing, "So excited for Dex's journey to begin."
While fans will have to wait until Friday to see Hofer in action, there's no wait in knowing whether or not he's talented. Longtime GH star Maurice Benard has already vouched for the newbie's acting skills, sharing on Twitter, "This guy is on the money."

Some of Hofer's previous acting credits include Kickin' It, Modern Family, The Haunted Hathaways, Sweet/Vicious, Astrid Clover, and Dwight in Shining Armor.
