JANUARY 1998
January 5 to 9, 1998
Brenda continued to sink further and found out she was penniless. Jax took Robin back to Port Charles to help Brenda, but instead, Brenda became suspicious of Robin and started a fight with her. In the course of the fight, Brenda told Robin about Jason and Carly. Carly left town, leaving her son in Jason's care. A.J. told Alan about Carly drugging him, but Alan jumped to the wrong conclusions. Luke made a deal with Jason to give Carly one month to tell Bobbie she was her daughter.
January 12 to 16, 1998
Jason told Robin the truth about the baby, him, and Carly. Brenda had a breakthrough and started on her way to getting better. The Quartermaines and Tony plotted to get the baby away from Jason. Helena met Katherine.
January 19 to 23, 1998
The Quartermaines' plan to take the baby from Jason failed, leaving divisions among them. Ned offered the head counsel position at ELQ to Alexis while Helena offered Alexis the chance to stay alive by first forming a friendship with Katherine. Jimmy continued to pose as Mac and asked Felicia to marry him.
January 26 to 30, 1998
Jason had the baby baptized and named him Michael in honor of Sonny. Jason also named Mike and Emily as godparents for the baby. Carly returned. Katherine took the bait Alexis laid out for her.

FEBRUARY 1998
February 2 to 6, 1998
Carly returned to Port Charles and revealed to Bobbie she was Bobbie's daughter, Caroline. Mac escaped from the cabin, and Felicia discovered the Mac she had just gotten engaged to wasn't really Mac -- it was Jimmy. Jax found a new love interest named Ashley Brett.
February 9 to 13, 1998
Before she died, Virginia Benson confirmed that Carly was Bobbie's daughter. Carly and Bobbie agreed neither one wanted to have anything to do with the other. Bobbie confronted Luke about the secret he had kept from her. Liz was attacked on the way home from a movie. Mac began his life as Jimmy.
February 16 to 20, 1998
Ned and Alexis made love. Carly found out Robin knew the truth about Michael's parentage. Lucky found Elizabeth, who had been raped. Elizabeth refused to tell anyone except the Spencers and later Sarah about the attack. Robin began to help Nikolas with his speech.
February 23 to 27, 1998
Jason's control of the organization was threatened when Jax stirred up trouble. Brenda asked Jax to marry her. Carly and Robin faced off. Liz told an unsupportive Audrey about her attack and later went ahead with an examination.

March 2 to 6, 1998
Jason succeeded in keeping control of the organization. Jax turned down Brenda's proposal. Liz's tests came back negative. Michael was missing.
March 9 to 13, 1998
Lucky uncovered evidence that his father had raped his mother. Tony was revealed to be Michael's kidnapper. Amy discovered Alan's pill addition.
March 16 to 20, 1998
Luke revealed to Lucky what had happened the night he raped Laura. Jax found out someone was out to murder him. Robin discovered Tony was the kidnapper, and Tony then kidnapped Robin.
March 23 to 27, 1998
Brenda realized that Robin was missing and demanded that Jason find her. Mac and Felicia searched the office where a phone call had originated regarding the assassination of Jax. Sarah confronted Audrey's supposed antipathy over Liz's rape. Jason got the final clue to point him toward Tony as the kidnapper of both Michael and Robin.
March 30 to April 3, 1998
Michael was returned to Carly and Jason as Tony was arrested as the kidnapper. Jason rushed Robin to the hospital, and as she recuperated, Jason made the decision to stop seeing her to protect her. Tess carried out her plot to kill Jax. Lucky joined forces with Helena.

APRIL 1998
April 6 to 10, 1998
The attempt on Jax's life was unsuccessful, and it was revealed that Jax's partner, Mitch, and his brother, Jerry, were behind the hit. Jerry Jacks made his first appearance in Port Charles. Nikolas and Sarah broke up. Alan attempted to break his drug addition.
April 13 to 17, 1998
Tony's trial got underway, and he received some much-needed help. Jason refused Carly's invitation for sex. Jax and Jerry were revealed to be behind the assassination plot. Mac got his old job back. Liz remembered more on the attack.
April 20 to 24, 1998
Helena recruited Alexis to help with Tony's case, and he was later given community service as a punishment. Upset at the verdict, Carly shot at Tony. Lucas found out Carly was his sister. V changed employers. Mac was reinstated as police commissioner.
April 27 to May 1, 1998
Tony's life was saved, and Carly was sent to a mental hospital for evaluation. Stefan asked Katherine to marry him. Jason and Brenda boarded an ELQ jet, which later crashed. Alexis teamed up with Luke.

MAY 1998
May 4 to 8, 1998
Luke and Alexis plotted to kill Helena. Stefan and Katherine planned their engagement party. Brenda and Jason started to forgive each other as they struggled to survive after the plane crash. The Quartermaines gained temporary custody of Michael, but Emily later took him. Robin decided to reunite with Jason, and Jax decided the same about Brenda.
May 11 to 15, 1998
Alan recovered from his overdose and hoped Tony would keep quiet about it. Jax and Jerry rescued Brenda and Jason, and later, Robin and Jason made love. Brenda and Jax traveled to Malibu and got engaged again as Sonny arrived in Port Charles.
May 18 to 22, 1998
Jax and Brenda made love. Laura arrived at Wydemere in time to disrupt Katherine and Stefan's party. While arguing with Stefan, Katherine fell over the railing to her death. Carly found out Jason and Robin were back together. Monica thought she had discovered Alan's secret, but she thought the secret was an affair.
May 25 to 29, 1998
Katherine fell from the parapet and was pronounced dead. Stefan was arrested in her murder. Lucky confronted an unknowing Laura about the rape. Sonny and Brenda found closure for their relationship.

June 1 to 5, 1998
Alexis accused Luke of setting up Stefan. The police allowed Stefan to attend Kat's memorial service. Laura denied being raped. Laura went to the police station to see Stefan. Jason left the country with Michael. Lucky told Liz that he was afraid that he might be like his dad. Lucky and Liz were arrested. Monica accused Alan of having an affair. Emily took another pill for her pain. Tony made a deal with Luke concerning Lucas. A.J. reached out to Carly. Jerry was attacked; Bobbie later rescued him.
June 8 to 12, 1998
Laura asked Luke if he had framed Stefan for Katherine's murder. Mac warned Luke that he was still a suspect. Nickolas was questioned about the murder. Stefan finally agreed to let Alexis represent him. Lucky found a new home. Liz and Lucky set a trap for her rapist, but things went awry. Brenda became terrified when she learned that her next photo shoot was in Paris. Bobbie did not believe Jerry's reason for the beating. Monica confronted Amy. Emily made a fashion statement on the anniversary of her mother's death. Robin took Emily to the photo shoot. Taggert almost arrested Alan. A double wedding was considered. Carly practiced being "crazy."
June 15 to 19, 1998
Liz froze when faced with Mr. Murty in the park, unaware that Lucky had been picked up by cops. Laura left Nikolas to bail him out, but issued an open invitation for him to return. Liz visited Laura to find out how she had dealt with being raped. Amy declined to be Lucy's dresser, forcing her to accept Eve's so-called help. Alexis and Ned vented their frustrations with quickie sex. Bobbie issued a restraining order against Tony. Robin told Mac she was seeing Jason again. Alexis went over Dara's head to get the mayor to issue bail for Stefan. Alan dropped Robin during their number, but Ned jumped on stage to save the day. Brenda's face fell when Sonny walked in, and Jax stared daggers. Lucy was almost strangled by her dress, as it was in General Homicide.
June 22 to 26, 1998
Jason and Sonny joined Robin at the Nurses Ball. Tony took the stage and called everyone hypocrites. Jerry decked him for insulting Bobbie. Taggert almost kissed Dara, but left her hanging. Eve bolted Lucy in a portable closet and took her place in the final number. Lucy rolled on stage and wound up front and center in her underwear. Intern Jake was found hanging from the rafters and was believed to be the General Homicide killer. Jax wrote Sonny a blank check to leave town, but he countered with the news that Jerry was involved with Carlos. Brenda assured Jax and Mike she was done with Sonny. The Quartermaines did damage control for Alan. Laura took Lesley Lu to Spoon Island.
June 29 to July 3, 1998
Felicia continued to support Tony, to everyone's chagrin. Lucky agreed to kiss Liz, to help her get over her fear of physical contact, but she ran away. Lucky admitted he'd wanted to kiss her as more than just an experiment. Luke confronted Laura about going to Spoon Island, and they made up. Jerry planted a bomb in a dockside warehouse, not knowing Jax was there with Sonny. Tony got Lucas to run away to meet him, and his lies led to Lucas in the burning warehouse. Jerry saved Lucas. Sonny saved Jax and was heartbroken when Brenda ran past him into Jax's arms. Mac was suspicious of Jerry's involvement in the fire. Nikolas knew about Liz, but wouldn't tell anyone. Emily went to New York to model, with Ned as her agent. A.J. and Edward plotted to turn Carly against Jason, but she saw through it.

JULY 1998
July 6 to 10, 1998
Bobbie received an order of protection, making it a felony for Tony to have any contact with Lucas. The Jacks family had joined the organization to keep Jax clean. Sonny endorsed the decision to keep Brenda safe. Sonny said his goodbyes. Brenda planned to quit modeling and buy L&B. Luke and Laura finally discussed the rape. Mac blamed Jason for Robin's decision not to attend Yale. Alexis and Luke plotted to frame Helena. Laura accepted a dinner invitation from Stefan, but didn't tell Luke. Tony paid Carly a visit and accomplished what the Quartermaines couldn't. Jason and Justus went to take Carly home, but she had managed to get herself committed to a maximum-security mental hospital. Jason was furious that Carly couldn't have visitors for two months. Jason blamed the Quartermaines for Carly's predicament. Jerry kissed Bobbie. Alan headed out to stock up on drugs after overhearing plans for an intervention.
July 13 to 17, 1998
Dara told Alexis that Katherine's will was going to be incriminating against Stefan. Helena tried to tell Stefan that she was the real target in the parapet and that Alexis was responsible. Stefan dismissed her and stood up for Alexis. Jax and Jason fought about what was best for Robin, dragging Robin and Brenda into their argument to defend their men. Jerry tried to get Justus to betray Jason. Liz had her first tutoring session with Mr. Murty. Lucky gave her a knife just in case he couldn't get to her in time. It didn't go well, and Lucky had to rush in before Liz showed Mr. Murty the knife. Liz arranged for Luke and Laura to "accidentally" find Lucky at the docks, but they didn't reconcile. She later confessed to Lucky, who was angry with her. Lucky mistakenly gave Liz a tape with a love song that he'd composed for her. Ned told Emily about Alan. She was upset nobody else had told her and spent the night at Jason's. Emily received a modeling job out of town and support from Ned and A.J. Monica took over as chief of staff for Alan, who continued his downward spiral. Alan was almost caught stealing drugs at the hospital, but managed to convince Amy he was keeping his promise and was off drugs. Alan was robbed trying to buy drugs. A.J. went to pick him up, but refused to help him get more. Alan went back and had to be saved by Taggert. V agreed to keep Jax up-to-date on Jerry. Bobbie took Lucas to the park with Jason and Michael. Tony spied on them and later threatened Bobbie. Taggert surprised Monica with his knowledge of Alan's addiction. Laura took Lesley Lu to Wyndemere, where they enjoyed a cozy family dinner until Luke showed up unexpectedly.
July 20 to 24, 1998
Felicia and Mac continued to deny their feelings for each other right up to the altar. According to plan, they'd call it off then; instead Mac asked Felicia to marry him for real, and she accepted. The Quartermaines continued to babysit Alan, but he managed to sneak his dealer onto the grounds for more pills. A.J. got rid of his stash, and Alan couldn't get more because Taggert had told the dealer to keep him hanging. Taggert told Monica he knew about Alan. He tried to get her to turn against Justus to save Alan, but she was afraid he'd try to get to Jason instead and wouldn't do it. Monica and Jason made peace. He agreed to let her visit Michael. Luke crashed the dinner at Wyndemere and left with Laura and Lulu. Luke and Laura agreed that she could see Nikolas -- and Nikolas only -- on neutral territory. She later met Nikolas for a picnic to which Stefan invited himself. Luke found out and gave Laura the opportunity to tell him about it, but she didn't. Alexis was very concerned about Stefan's ties to Laura. Ned agreed to sell L&B back to Brenda. Robin would go to work for her. Robin wanted to move in with Jason. She hinted around, but didn't ask. Jerry wanted to use Justus to get to Jason. Justus agreed to work for him on a case-by-case basis. Justus gathered information that the Jacks family was involved with the Organization. He and Jason disagreed about how to use it, since Jason wouldn't do anything that would cause Brenda to be hurt. Jason and A.J. argued about who posed more of a threat to Michael -- the Quartermaines or Jason.
July 27 to 31, 1998
Though Lucy was left at the altar, she still acted as Felicia's maid of honor. Felicia and Mac told everyone the truth about their engagement before they got married. Lucy gave them her honeymoon tickets to the South of France, and they went away together. Alan went to Jason, begging for drugs. They fought, and Alan stole a gun and money from Jason while Jason was taking care of Michael. Alan used the gun to hold up his dealer for more drugs. The dealer used a ruse to call Taggert, who arrested Alan. Monica bailed him out and agreed to Taggert's blackmail scheme. She went to see Justus but didn't get any information against him. Taggert threatened to arrest Alan if she failed. Alexis finally got Stefan to agree to stay away from Laura until the trial was over. Luke and Alexis swapped everyone's copies of Katherine's will with a forgery to frame Helena. Nikolas was supposed to be the first witness, but everyone was shocked when Helena was called first. Brenda thought she might be pregnant and was surprised that Jax couldn't be happier about it. Lucky got a job from Jason, detailing cars. Luke found out and begged Jason to keep Lucky out of the Organization. Justus told Jason he was going to work for Jerry, to keep tabs on him. They still disagreed about how to use the information against him. Mr. Murty passed Liz in English for no good reason. Detective Garcia told Liz that her case was officially closed; they might never know who had raped her. Liz decided to take matters into her own hands and went to Murty's house with a knife. In a panic after finding a ski mask, she accidentally stabbed Lucky.

AUGUST 1998
August 3 to 7, 1998
Edward and Lila celebrated their anniversary. Helena tried to damage Stefan during her testimony, but Alexis managed to cast suspicion on her instead. Liz discovered Mr. Murty wasn't the one who had raped her. Robin moved in with Jason. Jax received a photo, which had been ripped in half, of him and Brenda. Alan lied to his family, saying he was attending Narcotics Anonymous meetings. Taggert pressured Monica to obtain evidence against Justus. Nikolas testified he had seen Katherine go up the stairs to the parapet two to four minutes before she fell.
August 10 to 14, 1998
Alexis' testimony was damaging to Helena. Luke made sure Helena's fingerprints were found on Katherine's "fake" will. Nikolas testified Stefan was once in love with Laura. After hearing of that, Laura testified that she had been there the night of Katherine's death, and it had been an accident. Jax discovered through his own investigation that Veronica was Brenda's mother.
August 17 to 21, 1998
Brenda confronted Veronica. Luke learned from Laura of her affair with Stefan. He guessed Stefan was Nikolas' father. Luke decided to leave town for a while. Stefan was found not guilty. Dara and Taggert made love. Justus, while drunk and being taped by Monica, admitted to murdering Damian Smith. Jason rescued Robin moments before his car exploded, killing his bodyguard, Renaldo.
August 24 to 28, 1998
Helena was arrested for Katherine's murder. Helena later called a very much alive Katherine as her witness. Brenda and Veronica finally talked without arguing. Taggert took Monica's tape of Justus' confession. Jason left to confront Moreno.
August 31 to September 4, 1998
Jason made a deal to quit the organization. Dara learned of Justus' murder confession and warned him to leave town. Justus tried to make amends before leaving. Brenda learned of Veronica's deadly illness, which was hereditary. Therefore, there was a 50% chance Brenda had the gene.

SEPTEMBER 1998
September 7 to 11, 1998
Taggert turned over evidence of the Jacks family's involvement with the mob. Edward invited Katherine to move in with the Quartermaines. Brenda was tested for the deadly gene, and later Veronica ran their car over a cliff.
September 14 to 18, 1998
Jax desperately searched for Brenda, but he was told there was no way she could have survived the crash. Brenda's death affected everyone in Port Charles. John, Jerry, and Jasper Jacks were all arrested. Emily received nude photos of herself in the mail.
September 21 to 25, 1998
Jax, Jerry, and their father were arrested on the day of Brenda's memorial. Ned bailed out Jax, who later headed to Malibu. Nikolas and Lucky worked to find Emily's blackmailer. Jason and Robin moved out of the penthouse and into Brenda's cottage.
September 28 to October 2, 1998
Mac received the news that Lucy and Scott were alive. Jax made a deal with the Feds. Nikolas, Lucky, Liz, and Emily made progress on the search for the blackmailer.

October 5 to 9, 1998
Tony saved Lucas' life. The Quartermaines caught Alan in his "drug den." Lucky moved into his new apartment. Nikolas, Lucky, Liz, and Emily went to New York. Laura and Stefan kissed.
October 12 to 16, 1998
Justus and Moreno planned to get Justus elected as district attorney. Stefan and Laura grew closer. Tony tried to gain custody of Lucas. Robin left baby Michael with A.J. during the flood.
October 19 to 23, 1998
Jason found A.J. with Michael. Jax, Ned, and Alexis all helped coach V on how to act like a countess. Lucky and Nikolas discovered Laura at Wyndemere, barefoot and wearing clothes they didn't recognize.
October 26 to 30, 1998
Katherine and Nikolas kissed. Jerry went to work for Stefan. Alan pawned Monica's jewelry. A.J. visited Carly. Liz made a shocking discovery.

November 2 to 6, 1998
The blackmailer, also Liz's rapist, was arrested. The Quartermaines forbade Emily to model again. Liz got her HIV results, which were negative, on her birthday.
November 9 to 13, 1998
Stefan hired Jerry, who thought Luke was the prime suspect in Katherine's attempted murder. Nicholas had his 18th birthday party at Wyndemere. Luke returned to town, angered and surprised by his family's actions to Stefan. Katherine kissed Nicholas at his party, which Laura caught. Liz caught her rapist. Emily found out who her blackmailers were. Liz celebrated her 16th birthday. Jax took V to Monte Carlo. Jason was going to free Carly from Ferncliff soon.
November 16 to 20, 1998
Carly moved into the cottage with Jason, Robin, and Michael. Robin left Port Charles. Julia got the wrong idea when she saw Jax with V in Monte Carlo. Lucky pulled through for Luke when he got his leg caught in a bear trap at the cabin.
November 23 to 27, 1998
A.J. tried to get closer to Carly. Jax and V played the gaming tables in Monaco, and eventually won big, using Brenda's bracelet. Felicia continued to work in her office on Cortlandt Street even though Mac was unhappy about it. Liz confronted her rapist, Tom. Lucky had a special surprise for Liz; they shared a romantic dinner and a dance. On Thanksgiving Day, ABC rebroadcast Luke and Laura's wedding.
November 30 to December 4, 1998
Alan found his drug dealer dead in bed with a drugged Tammy. Taggert burst in and arrested Alan. Alan's family was non-sympathetic towards him in jail. Mac was the only one to feel he was innocent of the charges. Tammy filled Luke in on the details of the ordeal. Luke knew that someone was framing Alan and Tammy and attempting to frame Felicia.

DECEMBER 1998
December 7 to 11, 1998
Nikolas and Katherine gave in to passion. Tammy ended up in bed with a dead drug dealer as Felicia and Alan tried to help. Jason told Carly he still loved Robin, and nothing would change that. Jax got Brenda's necklace back and remembered many of their moments together. Robin called and talked to Jason. A.J. tried to cozy up to Carly. Tammy ended up at Luke's place. Liz's rapist was sentenced to prison. Liz and Lucky shared a kiss in the park. Luke and Stefan traded insults. Alan was in jail for the supposed murder of the drug dealer. Katherine recalled her fall from the parapet and the whole night's events.
December 14 to 18, 1998
Lucky and Laura shared some time together. Carly continued to try to seduce Jason. Luke and Lucky discussed the revelation of Nikolas' parentage. Katherine met with Helena to discuss what had happened to her the night of the fall. Robin returned home and was not happy to see Carly still there. Alan got out of jail on bail and underwent rapid detox. Jason got an urgent call about Sonny and went to see him. Luke arranged for Stefan to find Nikolas and Katherine in bed together. Chicago performed at the Outback and later gunshots rang through the restaurant.
December 21 to 25, 1998
Mac was shot by the gunman and was in critical condition. Audrey was not happy with Liz and Lucky's relationship. Laura celebrated her birthday with flowers from Stefan and a photo from Lucky and Nikolas. Luke and Laura had an emotional confrontation.
December 28, 1998 to January 1, 1999
Laura and Stefan prepared to tell Nikolas the truth. Michael received a gift from Edward that didn't make Jason happy. Nikolas discovered the truth from another source and confronted Stefan. The bachelor charity auction was held and yielded some interesting pairs.
