Soap fans love their fair share of emotional drama, but it's also nice to laugh now and then, which makes One Life to Live alum Tika Sumpter's (ex-Layla Williamson) upcoming caper comedy Nobody's Fool a welcome treat.
The Tyler Perry project is set to bring some major bouts of giggles while it tells the story of wild child Tanya (Tiffany Haddish), who is released from jail and moves in with her quite stuffy corporate-executive sister Danica (Tika Sumpter). However, Tanya's sleuthing reveals that her sister's picture-perfect life may not be what it seems: Danica turns out to be a victim of catfishing (when an online impostor poses as a romantic suitor), which sets the sisters on an action-packed adventure to expose the guilty gentleman. Whoopi Goldberg stars as the sisters' mom.
"It was so fun and exciting being part of a story about sisterhood, family dysfunction and love in a comedic atmosphere," Sumpter told

Sumpter made her daytime debut back in 2006 and remained in Llanview until OLTL's cancellation in 2011. She followed up her daytime role with characters on major shows like Gossip Girl, Being Mary Jane, and The Haves and Have Nots.
