Daytime alum Kristen Alderson (ex-Kiki Jerome, General Hospital; ex-Starr Manning, One Life to Live) sure is keeping busy. Amidst her various posts about ABC's The Bachelor and The Bachelorette series, the actress tweeted some exciting career news that's sure to keep her fans singing.
"Sort of forgot to mention that I've been asked to continue with The Marvelous Wonderettes! And I said yes! HAPPILY and without hesitation!" she wrote on August 6. "This experience and time in my life has been one of the best! So, if you haven't already, come see me!"

As Soap Central previously reported, Alderson signed on to the NYC stage show earlier this spring. The raucous musical is set in the 1950s and follows "four girls with voices as big as their bouffants and personalities as kooky as their crinoline skirts!"
But Alderson's extension in The Marvelous Wonderettes isn't the only exciting thing happening in the Pennsylvania native's life. Soap Central recently shared the news that the actress has been cast in Mélange, an upcoming TV drama that also stars Morgan Fairchild (ex-Anjelica Deveraux, Days of our Lives; ex-Sydney Chase, GH/The City), Robert Newman (ex-Joshua Lewis, Guiding Light), Darnell Williams (ex-Jesse Hubbard, All My Children), Ilene Kristen (ex-Roxy Balsam, OLTL), and Scott Evans (ex-Oliver Fish, OLTL).
There's no word yet on who Alderson will play in the LGBTQ drama, which centers on the fight over the ownership of a historic New York City gay bar after its proprietor has suddenly and mysteriously died.
