Congratulations are in order for Brett Claywell (ex-Kyle Lewis, One Life to Live), who together with actress Tamara de Kauwe welcomed a new baby into the world.
The actor made an Instagram post from Australia -- where de Kauwe is from -- to announce his exciting news.
"And in a single instant, the purpose of my existence was forever changed. Introducing Phoenix Harper Claywell, aka Finn, making his entrance on January 17th at 9:43 am," Claywell shared. "Throughout the past year, I was working on living my life more grateful for all the blessings I had, but that word simply doesn't do any of these new emotions justice. I'm overwhelmed with the depths of this human experience, and the love and clarity I now feel to my core. The universe and this unbelievable woman have given me the greatest gifts this life can bestow, a son and a family of my own, and the best of who I've ever attempted to be will never compare to the man I aim to be now."
De Kauwe also took to Instagram with photos of her new bundle of joy and included a quote from author John Mark Green that reads, "I may never find words beautiful enough to describe all that you mean to me. But I will spend the rest of my life searching for them."
Brett Claywell got his start as an actor on shows like Dawson's Creek and One Tree Hill before joining OLTL as Kyle Lewis in 2009. His time in Llanview was short -- he left in 2010 -- but it was memorable, as he was in an on-screen male-male relationship with Scott Evans' character, Oliver Fish.
After leaving OLTL, Claywell went on to act in the television series Adopted and This is LA. He is also listed as a producer on shows like This is LA, This is SF, and The Recruit.
