The daytime community is sending lots of congratulations to One Life to Live alum Eddie Alderson (ex-Matthew Buchanan), who announced that he asked his girlfriend, Sylwia, to marry him -- and she said yes!
The actor posted photos on his private Instagram account along with the caption, "When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible."
Alderson's sister, Kristen Alderson (ex-Kiki Jerome, General Hospital; ex-Starr Manning, OLTL), also posted the news, sharing, "They're ENGAGED!!!! Bursting with excitement & happiness for my little brother Eddie (who is just the best human I know) to marry the love of his life Sylwia (the best future sister-in-law I could ever dream of having)."
Alderson starred on OLTL as Bo and Nora's son Matthew from 2004 to 2012. News broke that the actor was diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma in November of 2016, and he bravely battled the disease until late 2019, when he proudly announced that he was cancer free.
