The executive shuffle taking place at ABC now has a direct connection to the network's daytime lineup, which includes General Hospital. Rebecca Campbell has taken over duties as head of ABC Daytime.
Ben Sherwood, president, Disney-ABC Television Group, noted in a company memo that Campbell, who has served as president of ABC's owned TV stations since 2010, has extensive daytime experience that includes producing daytime shows while working at WPVI Philadelphia and buying syndicated programs as station group chief, Broadcasting and Cable reports.
In her new position, Campbell will oversee GH, The Chew, Who Wants To Be a Millionaire, and FABLife (the latter of which has been canceled and will soon be ending its run).
At this time, not much is known about the future of Vicki Drummer, who's headed daytime in the role of ABC executive vice-president for current series for the past several years.
As previously reported, executive vice-president of drama, Channing Dungey, took over Paul Lee's position as ABC Entertainment president last week.
