Sports fans probably think that CBS Sports coverage of NCAA March Madness is the best. CBS Daytime fans who have to miss out on The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful because of it think it's just madness. So, it's a good thing the popular soap operas have impressive executive brains behind them.
Rather than accept the preemption the NCAA event forced upon them, both shows decided to keep bringing fans entertainment -- just over social media rather than through the traditional airwaves.
An official release sent out by CBS Daytime promises original content in the form of custom, short-form videos on the individual show's Facebook pages on Thursday, March 15 and Friday, March 16.
B&B is keeping the "Who's out to get Bill Spencer" mystery alive by examining some of the most prominent suspects -- and their motives. The video went live on Thursday, March 15, at 12:00PM ET/9:00AM PT on B&B's Facebook page. If you missed it, check out below.
Y&R is gifting fans with a special preview into the soap's upcoming 45th anniversary with a look at the show's returning guest stars. Featured actors include Jaime Lyn Bauer (Lorie Brooks), Janice Lynde (Leslie Brooks), Kelly Kruger (Mackenzie Browning Hellstrom), Meg Bennett (Julia Newman Martin), and more. You can check the stroll down memory lane below.
The network's talk show The Talk is also scheduled to share original content via social media. Watch for the series' first-ever webisode titled Keep Talking each day at 12:00PM ET/9:00AM PT on The Talk's Facebook page.
