If you're realing, er, reeling over having missed the October 21 episode of the daytime talk show The Real, have no fear -- clips of the special episode that featured daytime hunks Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter Walton, The Bold and the Beautiful), Galen Gering (Rafe Hernandez, Days of our Lives), Michael Mealor (Kyle Abbott, The Young and the Restless), and Donnell Turner (Curtis Ashford, General Hospital) are now available.
The soap studs dropped by the show that's hosted by Adrienne Houghton, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai, and Tamera Mowry-Housley -- and the results were hilarious.
First, GH's Turner revealed that while he didn't get the ABC soap opera role he initially auditioned for, the network loved him so much, they created the character of Curtis specifically for him. He then admitted that he's had some input in making the role his own, with the network telling him, "Tell our story but choose your words."
One example of this freedom came along with an early romantic scene the actor shot at the soap.
"I was wooing my lady love [Jordan], who is now my wife, and they had me doing some old, you know, 'Oh hold on, I see something in your hair,' like a butterfly,'" Turner shares. "And I'm like, 'Hm, that's a false moment, you know?' I've never been that dude to like yawn to put my arm around the lady, and I said, 'Plus, you don't touch a black woman's hair!' And so, with that, they were like, 'Oh, just do it.' I'm like 'Look, let's be a little bit culturally sensitive here.'"
Next, all four actors played a game called "Answer or Eat," where they were forced to either answer an embarrassing question or eat something disgusting. Gering chose to answer a personal question about on-set nudity, but Mealor and Turner opted to eat fried crickets and a sardine sundae, respectively.
