Daytime favorite A Martinez (ex-Eduardo Hernandez, Days of our Lives; ex-Dr. Ramon Montgomery, The Bold and the Beautiful, ex-Roy DiLucca, General Hospital; ex-Ray Montez, One Life to Live) is thrilled to share that he'll be appearing in the heart-stopping action flick Ambulance.
The star took to Instagram with a photo of himself in his dressing room along with the caption, "Waiting to be called from my dressing room this weekend, as I wrap work on Michael Bay's movie, Ambulance. Mr. Bay treats us here to a thoroughly wild, bird's eye view, as two wounded, star-crossed brothers go for broke on the single day that will define their lives."
A remake of the popular 2005 Danish film of the same name, Ambulance stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as two thieves who rob an ambulance occupied by a paramedic (Eiza González) and a patient in critical condition.
Keir O'Donnell, Moses Ingram, and Garret Dillahunt (ex-Charlemagne Moody, OLTL) also star in the film directed by Bay, who's known for high-action films like Armageddon, Pearl Harbor, and the Transformers franchise.
Martinez's social media post also includes praise for the cast and crew's handling of the COVID-19 safety protocols. "It's been a notable achievement for this project to have made it to the finish line," he shares. "To say that these cautionary tactics have made the always challenging process of shooting a movie even more difficult than it usually is, would be a gross understatement. But the extra effort has been a small price to pay in the grand scheme of things, and my spirit is coming to rest today with a sense of both joy and relief."
The actor signed off with, "Hope you'll enjoy this most compelling story when the chance arrives."
Ambulance is currently slated for a February 18, 2022, release.
