Scott Holmes is the 13th actor to portray Tom Hughes and has the distinction of having the longest run. Scott began his theatrical career shortly after his graduation from Catawba College, when he was cast as the lead in a touring production of Godspell. After earning his Equity card at the Civic Light Opera in Pittsburgh, Scott moved to New York where he has had a successful Broadway career.
In addition to As the World Turns, Scott played the role of Dave Greenberg in the soap opera, Ryan's Hope.
In addition to his acting talent, Scott is also a very talented singer and has performed his critically acclaimed nightclub act, Alone for the First Time, in numerous locations such as the Russian Tea Room, The Catskills, and Trump Plaza. He has also been featured in CDs from several of his Broadway shows as well as RCA's A Soap Opera Christmas.
In addition to music, Scott is a sports enthusiast and teaches swimming classes at a local gym. He also is a certified diver and water safety instructor.
Scott resides in an old farmhouse (circa 1817) in New York State with his wife Pamela and son, Taylor Nicholas (b. 8/18/87)
