orn and raised in Los Angeles, Overman tested the waters of drama as a youth. At the age of thirteen, she had already decided to take a break from her active role in the Chip Fields Repertory Theater.
It was not until after graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles with a BA in English literature, that she felt it was time to return to acting. She landed her first agent in 1993 and supported herself with odd jobs while studying regionally.
She has guest-starred in "Pensacola: Wings of Gold" and "Shasta McNasty"; co-starred in "Norm," "For Your Love" and "Beverly Hills, 90210"; appeared in the telefilm, "The Little Richard Story" and as a recurring character in the pilot, "The Thing About Family."
Overman has also performed on stage in productions of "Hurlyburly," "The Children's Hour," "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" and "West Side Story."
A cuisine connoisseur, Overman resides in Sherman Oaks. She loves animals, especially dogs, and catching up on her classic and modern films.
