The Young and the Restless' Alyvia Alyn Lind (Faith Newman) will be working 9 to 5 and then some, playing Dolly Parton yet again in the sequel to Coat of Many Colors.
The young actress originally took on the role of the 9 to 5 singer in last year's TV movie, and following the success of the story about the iconic singer's rural Tennessee childhood, a sequel is scheduled to air this holiday season. Titled Dolly Parton's Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love, the film will feature the cast of the original, including Lind as Parton.
As for the story, "an unexpected blizzard threatens the Parton family, while at the same time Dolly's father (and his kids) make sacrifices to raise enough money to finally buy his loving wife the wedding ring he could never afford to give her. Meanwhile, an important person in little Dolly's life begins to see that her amazing voice and musical gift might just be made for something bigger than rural Tennessee."
More casting and a premiere date have yet to be released, making these tidbits a bit like islands in the stream. Stay tuned for more details as they come!
