Things are about to get crazy for The Young and the Restless' Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). As fans probably expected, a blast from his past is on the way to the canvas -- and she's going to bring nothing but trouble with a capital T! The CBS soap opera shares that actress Elizabeth Leiner will be taking on the recurring role of Tara Locke, the woman Kyle had an affair with during his time in New York City.
While Tara herself might not present any issues for Kyle, her presence will bring a lot of drama to his life and to his relationship with Summer (Hunter King). As was recently revealed on the series, Tara is married to Ashland Locke, a rich and powerful man with houses all over the world and friends in high places (including prime ministers, presidents, and possibly even Kyle and Summer's grandfathers). Ashland has a reputation for going after people with a vengeance when they wrong him -- and he likely won't take too kindly to finding out that Kyle slept with his wife. And if you think that news might blow his gasket, there's a cherry on top that not even Summer knows at this point: it's quite possible that the son that Tara and Ashland share is actually Kyle's child!
Y&R is keeping mum about the Kyle/Summer/Tara drama that lies ahead, but fans can look forward to Leiner's debut on Monday, March 1.
Though she is new to the soap world, Elizabeth Leiner has several previous acting credits, including Drop Dead Diva, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, and the film Nanny Killer, which starred Y&R alum Morgan Obenreder (ex-Crystal Porter). She also has a Master's Degree in Social Work and Literature, which helps her bring a unique perspective to every character she embodies.
