Congratulations are in order for Karla Mosley (Amanda Sinclair, The Young and the Restless; ex-Maya Avant, The Bold and the Beautiful), who announced on social media that she and her partner, John Rogers, are expecting a baby this summer.
In an Instagram post made on Mother's Day, Mosley shared, "With deep, humble gratitude I honor all the mothers, aunts and care-giving womxn healers in my life and yours. Yes. We have another addition coming around early July!"
Mosley, who is 31 weeks pregnant, goes on to share that she was thrilled to be able to visit her "own wild, eccentric, big-hearted mama" with her sister on Mother's Day. "Many emotions brewing," she wrote, "But mostly a deep and quiet gratitude. #HappyMothersDay"
Mosley's post includes a couple of pregnancy photographs, one of which was taken by the actress' daughter, Aurora Imani Mosley Rogers, who was born in August of 2018.
Karla Mosley got her start in daytime in 2008, playing Guiding Light's Christina Moore, a pre-med student who married Remy Boudreau (Lawrence Saint-Victor). She joined the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful in 2013 as Maya Avant, an actress/singer who married Rick (Jacob Young) after revealing that she was a transgender woman. Mosley was last seen on B&B in May of 2019, but it wasn't until September 2020 that she publicly gave the character a "fond farewell" and announced that her "incredible journey" at the CBS soap opera had come to an end.
In April of this year, The Young and the Restless announced that Mosley had been tapped to briefly take over the role of Amanda Sinclair while original portrayer Mishael Morgan recovered from an eye injury. Mosley will be airing on Y&R throughout the course of May Sweeps, with Morgan set to return to the screen on Tuesday, June 1.
