Who said countdowns are just for New Year's Eve and Casey Kasem?
As we approach The Young and the Restless' 50th anniversary, stars from the top-rated CBS soap are celebrating the milestone by taking a look back at some of their favorite moments in Y&R history.
Who better to kick off the countdown than Y&R's leading lady, Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman)? Scott has been a part of the show for 44 of Y&R's 50 years. With that much time spent in Genoa City, Scott surely had oodles of favorite moments to choose from.

UPDATE: On March 2, Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) offered up a memory of his own -- complete with the mind-blowing reminder that he had originally only signed on to Y&R for a three-month stint.
