Tonya Pinkins will reprise her role as attorney Livia Frye on All My Children next month.
Pinkins originally made her debut on All My Children in 1991 and remained on the show through 1995. During her previous stint in Pine Valley, Pinkins' character defended once-notorious murderer Janet Green. Near the end of her stay, Livia - whose brother, Derek, is the acting police chief of the Pine Valley Police Department - married Tom Cudahy and the couple later adopted a son, Jamal. There's been little trace of the Cudahys or Livia's son, Terrence, since that time.
According to a New York City agency, Livie Frye isn't the only one who has been missing in action. Pinkins recently made news of her own, having been named one of New York's top "deadbeat parents." According to the city's Human Resources Administration, Pinkins is said to be $104,680 in arrears for her two children.
Pinkins is currently starring in the musical Caroline, or Change at the Public Theatre in New York City.
It should be noted that Livia, who had been elevated to judge shortly before she exited Pine Valley, is no longer using husband Tom's last name. Why? Even Pinkins doesn't know why.
Pinkins makes her first on-air appearance on December 18.
