Molly was feeling low because it was the anniversary of her wedding day to Jake. She asked Mike to help her get through the day, but she was tormented by knowing that she should tell Mike that she was the anonymous donor for the burn wing. Unknowingly, Mike added to Molly's discomfort by inviting her to the groundbreaking ceremony for the burn wing. Molly told Carly about the invitation, and Carly advised Molly to get a sudden headache instead of going to the groundbreaking ceremony. Molly saw Carly with photos of Mike in tuxedoes and was suddenly jealous. Carly explained that Mike had been trying on possible wedding tuxedoes Carly was designing for Jack, and Molly told Carly that she was happy with Carly and Mike's friendship. However, when Carly left, Molly worriedly looked at the photos again.
It was election morning, and a reporter asked Jessica how she'd slept the night before. Rattled by the questions, Jessica admitted to Margo that she'd spent the previous night with Marshall Travers. Jessica told Margo about the camera that Paul and Bonnie had placed in Marshall's hotel room to connect Marshall with Stenbeck, but she told Margo that she and Marshall had been meeting at a secret location, which Jessica thought was not bugged. However, Jessica considered dropping out of the race because Bonnie had broken the law by placing the bug in Marshall's room. Margo advised Jessica to ask Marshall Travers about James Stenbeck before she dropped out of the race.
Jessica's family was very concerned about her odd attitude, and Ben confided to Isaac that he suspected that Jessica was seeing another man.
At the same time Jessica was talking to Margo, Paul spotted Jessica and Marshall together on the videotape from the covert camera he had placed in Marshall's "secret" room, and he saw Jessica and Marshall together on the bed. Paul's video-watching was interrupted by a chambermaid who was very suspicious, and Paul placed the videotape in his sock. Suddenly, Jack appeared behind Paul with a gun.
Jessica met with Marshall and told him that Bonnie had been part of the plan to place the bug in his hotel room. That meeting was also being recorded, and Paul witnessed it live as it was taped on the video camera. Marshall told Jessica that he would never betray her by going to the police. Jessica told Marshall that she would concede the election to him, but she asked Marshall, for the last time, if he was working for James Stenbeck. Marshall admitted that he'd worked for James in the past, but he told Jessica that James had no influence over him anymore. Jessica rejected Marshall's offer to begin a relationship and stepped outside the room to tell Bonnie that she was going to concede the election. Marshall was standing in the doorway, watching Jessica and Bonnie, when his cell phone rang.
On the end of Marshall's line was none other than James Stenbeck. Stenbeck warned Marshall that "women like Jessica have toppled men much more powerful than you." Marshall replied that his relationship with Jessica was none of Stenbeck's business. Stenbeck retorted, "Marshall, I own you. You're mine. And don't you forget it!"
Lucy told Aaron that he had moved in with Holden, and he was staying in Oakdale. Lucy was thrilled, and Holden entered to tell Aaron he needed to help get the kids to bed, since everyone was excited he was staying with them. Aaron agreed to help put them to bed and asked if Lucy could see his room. Meanwhile Abigail was telling Hal about her suspicions about Aaron, only to go against them when Hal wanted to go after Aaron to find the truth.
Abigail told Hal how Aaron had saved her life along with Luke and Will's. However, Hal couldn't get to Holden's fast enough to ask Holden about Aaron. Lucy and Aaron returned to the living room and found Holden and Hal arguing about the cause of the fire. Hal told them to go to the station later, since Holden wanted to get Tom to help them first. Aaron then assumed he should start packing, but Holden believed in his innocence and told him to stay. Holden left to call Tom.
Jessica received a job offer from Travers, since she had backed out of the election; however, Ben walked in and told Travers to back off. Jessica and Ben had a talk about how Ben knew she hadn't been at Al's the night before, and he thought she was cheating on him. Jessica admitted that she hadn't been at Al's. She told him she had been at a lake in Chicago, and before she'd noticed, it had been morning. She told him she'd needed to get away and hadn't been able to go to him because she'd been afraid he would think less of her. He told her that would never be the case. Jessica broke down, and Ben held her. She admitted he was the only man in her heart. She later attended a party at which all of her friends were in attendance. Lisa, Tom, Margo, Kim, and Bob were some of the people there.
After Tom and Margo arrived with Lisa, Paul also arrived. Tom escorted Margo to a chair and left to get her a drink. Margo motioned for Paul to sit with her but cautioned him to act like it was a friendly conversation. Margo informed him she had located James outside of Brownsville, Texas, in Mexico. They guessed he was waiting to see if Travers won before he made his move. Margo admitted she'd found him by tracking prescriptions he needed after Barbara had hit him.
Margo and Paul joined Tom and Jack then Jack talked to Paul, who promised he was done being a detective. Tom then received a phone call from Holden and told Margo they had to leave. On their way out, they saw Jessica and Ben. Tom told Jessica he was sorry for what had happened, and Margo wanted reassurance that Jessica was okay with it.
Carly and Craig disagreed on a name for their company but later decided on Monte Carlo. They drank to that, but they were spotted by Jack, who'd been tipped off by Rosanna, who had told him they weren't at the Lakeview. However, Rosanna's night was ruined when Chris told her the anonymous donation had been made by Craig. Chris asked his parents for help, since Rosanna was asking question about it but offered to pay for a pediatric ward for him to work in. After he told her, she stormed off. Bob, Kim, and Chris celebrated the plan's effect.
Katie, Simon, and Henry brainstormed about their company and discussed choosing a name. Henry proposed "Early Bird Surveillance." Simon and Katie only laughed at his suggestion. Henry got a little upset by their jokes and went over to the bar.
Lucy, at Holden and Lily's house, was relieved when Abigail stopped over. Lucy updated Abigail on what was going on with Aaron. She wondered aloud where the police could have gotten the idea that Aaron could have started the fire. At first, Lucy thought her father was involved, but Abigail revealed she was the one who had talked to the police. Lucy was angry and couldn't believe that Abigail would think such a thing about her own brother. While they were there, the police showed up with a warrant to search Aaron's room. Lucy was upset and called Simon and Katie. She told them that she needed to talk to them, and she later went over to the Lakeview to tell them what was happening and to ask for their help.
Aaron, Holden, and Tom went to the police station. Aaron said he had nothing to hide, and he thanked Tom for acting as his lawyer even after the incident with the trophy at Tom's house. Hal told Aaron to tell him exactly what had happened the day of the fire. Aaron told the story then Hal showed him the matches. Aaron said he'd used them when he'd camped out on his way to Oakdale from Seattle. Hal mentioned that someone had been reckless and started a fire just to be a hero. At that point, Holden and Tom agreed to end the inquisition.
At the hospital, Alison went to visit Will and even brought him a video game. Barbara stepped into the room and told Alison to get out. Alison said, "Are you always this mean? No wonder Will doesn't want to wake up." Barbara was furious and threw Alison out of Will's room, even though Alison apologized for upsetting her. John entered and examined Will with Barbara there. For a moment, Will was conscious -- yelling, "Fire! Fire!"
Jack walked in on Carly and Craig toasting to their business. Carly told Jack they were discussing the name of the company. Jack laughed at Craig's idea and said it should be called, "Carly Tenney Creations." After Jack left, Craig said that Jack was intimidated and would be a problem. When Craig was alone, he made a toast and said, "To Rosanna, who makes things possible."
Paul had no choice but to blackmail Jessica to get close with Marshall for the last two weeks of her term. Jessica said that Paul had committed a crime and was in no position to threaten her, but Paul said she'd sold them out. Jessica said, "You'll go to jail." Paul replied, " I don't care." Marshall showed up at Java Underground and told Jessica that his apartment had been videotaped and that he knew Paul Ryan had done it. He asked Jessica if she had been in on it. Jessica said no and asked if they could possibly be friends. During the whole conversation, Paul looked on.
Susan and Emily went to family court. Alison eventually showed up and saw a young girl being forced to go to prison. She pictured herself in the same situation, and it scared her. She told the judge that she was a "spoiled, miserable pain in the butt." The judge said he'd listen to her if she was honest. She was happy that he was listening to her and told him not to give up on her.
The judge told Alison to drop the sob story and to go back to high school. He said she had a family that cared for her and that her life was not so bad. He gave her two weeks to get her act together, go to school, get a part-time job, and develop a plan for the next two years. Alison said she'd do it because she was "tired of being a screw-up."
At the bar at the Lakeview, Rosanna sat down next to Henry. He started to talk to her and mentioned that he "helps people with their problems." He handed her his new business card, and Rosanna suddenly had an idea. She asked Henry to find out who the anonymous donor was at Memorial Hospital. She said she'd be grateful and very generous. Henry asked if she had any "suspects." She told him she thought the anonymous donor was Molly. Henry smirked when he heard Molly's name. After Henry left, Craig showed up at the bar. Rosanna was pleased to see him, and they kissed.
Barbara sat with her son and tried to give him encouragement. Will was out of his coma, but the doctors had him heavily sedated. Emily stuck her head in the room, looking for Hal. Barbara bit her head off and told her that her sister was not welcome in the room. Emily told Barbara that she was not her favorite person, but she cared about Will, and she was praying for him. Barbara told Emily not to make her laugh. Emily told Barbara that she had accepted her in their lives, and she should do the same. She added that everyone would get along better if she would.
Hal walked in, and Emily told him to be good to Barbara. She added that she needed it. After Emily left, Hal asked Barbara how she was doing. She told him that she was very scared for their son. John walked in and told Barbara and Hal that he'd talked to Ben, and they were not sure if there would be any brain damage when Will woke up. Barbara got upset, and Hal tried to settle her down. He told her to remember that John had said that they just needed to wait and see.
A detective stuck his head in the door and apologized for interrupting, but he knew that Hal wanted the results from the forensics lab. As the detective left, Emily arrived, and Hal told her that he had the information he had been waiting for. Alison, walking by the door, heard Hal and held the door open a little so she could hear. Hal opened up the envelope and read the contents. He announced that he knew who had set the fire. Barbara asked if he knew who'd done that to their son. Hal said, "It was Aaron Snyder!" Alison heard it and whispered, "My God, Aaron!" She took off running out of the hospital.
Molly was trying to get ready to go to the groundbreaking ceremony with Mike. She was trying to zip up her dress when Abigail walked in. Abigail helped her finish getting dressed as she told her mother about Aaron. Molly tried to reassure her daughter that she hadn't done anything wrong. Molly told Abigail to go and talk to Aaron.
As Abigail was leaving, Mike walked in, and he and Molly left to attend the groundbreaking for the burn unit at the hospital. Molly locked her apartment as they left. After they were gone, Henry Coleman walked up to Molly's apartment door, dressed in blue coveralls, and was armed with a drill. He went to work on Molly's door. He got into the apartment and started to look around. Finally, he found a file with the check that Molly had written for the donation to the burn unit. He made a copy and left the apartment.
Abigail went over to Holden and Lily's house to talk to Aaron. At first, Aaron was very upset with Abigail and didn't want to hear her explanation for why she'd talked to the police about him setting the fire at the barn. Abigail, feeling dejected, started to leave. Aaron stopped her and said that he was not happy with how she'd handled the situation, but he loved her, and they were family. They hugged, and Abigail tried to reassure him not to worry. Molly had said that it was really hard to get arrested if one was innocent.
After the groundbreaking was over, Bob, Kim, Mike, and Molly showed up at the Lakeview to celebrate. As they were talking, Chris walked in and said that he'd seen Rosanna sitting with Craig in the dining room. Kim made a comment about Craig taking credit for the donation to the burn unit. Mike asked what she was talking about because Lucinda was the donor. Chris told him the story about how they'd pulled a stunt on Rosanna because she'd been trying to get information from him about the burn unit donor. Mike got very upset and said that he was going to put a stop to it right away. He stomped off to the dining room.
Mike walked up to Rosanna and Craig and went off on Rosanna. He told her that he was tired of her always having her nose in his business, and she should just give it up because they were through and would never be together again. Craig asked what he was talking about, and Mike told Craig what Rosanna had done to Chris to get information on the burn unit donor. Before Mike left, he gave Rosanna one last warning. After he left, Rosanna tried to explain to Craig, but Craig didn't want any explanations. She begged him not to go, but he said that he'd had his breakfast. As he walked away from the table, Rosanna covered her face with her hands.
Henry walked over and sat down where Craig had been sitting. She looked up and said, "Mr. Coleman, if you don't have some good news, I will stab you in your heart with my fork." Henry smiled at her and said that he had some very good news. He took a piece of paper out of his jacket and told her that it was a photocopy of the check that Molly McKinnon had written for the completion fund for the burn unit. Rosanna took the piece of paper and looked at it. She told him that he had made her very happy, and the information was going to be useful when the time was right.
Carly got inspired to change the theme of her wedding to a Monaco-styled affair. Meanwhile, Rosanna tried to make peace with Craig, but he thought that her behavior regarding Mike and the anonymous donor was embarrassing. Rosanna accused him of wanting to protect Molly because she was Carly's cousin. She promised Craig that she would stop trying to find out who had made the donation.
Craig learned of Carly's new idea for her wedding and thought that it was the perfect platform to launch their new company. Carly refused to turn her wedding into a publicity stunt, but Craig secretly made a call to his publicist. Later, Rosanna questioned Jack about his upcoming wedding. She fantasized about revealing Molly's secret and being desired by both Craig and Mike.
Mike and Molly discovered that someone had broken into Molly's apartment. Mike asked Molly to stay with him until her place was safe again, and Molly freaked out. Mike convinced her that it was not a long-term deal, and she agreed. The police went over her place, and Molly noticed that her check for the burn unit had been tampered with.
At the hospital, Barbara encouraged Hal to make Aaron pay for his crime, but Emily wanted Hal to step aside from the case and give it to Jack. She asked him not to let Barbara push him over the edge again, but their conversation was interrupted by Barbara's screams. They ran into Will's room and found his hands around her neck.
