Lauren Koslow (Kate Roberts) and Arianne Zuker (Nicole Kiriakis) will be part of Universal Studios Hollywood's "Eco-Fair" this month, an event that celebrates Earth Day with over 30 engaging and educational displays, celebrity appearances, an offer of free parking for hybrid vehicles, and a hazardous waste disposal drive sponsored by the City and County of Los Angeles.
Koslow, Zuker and The Office star Melora Hardin will autograph eco-friendly bags and help dispense energy efficient light bulbs at the Environmental Media Association's booth.
Also featured at the event will be Bell's Bugs, which will offer a "hands-on" lesson on the vital impact reptiles and insects have on the environment. Among the not-so-creepy crawlers to be exhibited will be an Australian Bearded Dragon Lizard named "Benny," Ironclad beetles that "play dead," Darkling "stink" Beetles, a velvet ant that‘s actually a female wasp and a friendly Tarantula named "Rosey" who is eager to shake everyone's hands.
La Knitterie Parisienne will also be on hand with a display of organic knitting yarns made from soy, hemp, bamboo and corn with accompanying bamboo knitting needless, while the Hollywood Beautification Team will give out free trees to local visitors.
During the Eco-Fair there will be a hazardous waste materials collection sponsored by the City and County of Los Angeles from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Guests bringing at least one item for safe disposal, including paint solvents, motor oils, cleaning products, pool and garden chemicals, auto and household batteries, monitors, printers, televisions, video games, cell phones, stereos and electronic toys, can enjoy free parking.
The event will be held on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Universal Studios Hollywood. Koslow will be at the event from 1100am to 100pm. Zuker will be there from 100pm to 300pm.
