Upstairs at Chandler mansion and with Tad still listening at the door, Krystal asks Babe what could be worse than half the town playing "guess who the baby's father is." Babe hands her mom a piece of paper, evidently the annulment papers she never mailed. Krystal vows to fix everything. As she folds the paper to tuck it away in a safe place, JR whisks it out of Krystal's hand asking, "Is this what I think it is?" JR thinks it is some numbers he was running. Krystal gets the paper back telling JR it's a list of her New Year's resolutions and puts it in her bra for safe keeping, "safer than Fort Knox."
Brooke enters the living room at Chandler mansion and demands to know what is going on. JR answers her: "Your son is going after my wife and baby. I told him he can go for it. And then he can go to hell." Jamie congratulates JR for out-Adaming Adam because even Adam would not disown his own brother. JR leaves. Adam offers to help Jamie any way he can. Jamie tells Adam to back off then also leaves. Alone, Brooke and Adam continue arguing about the situation. Brooke tells Adam he loves the wedge this is driving between JR and Babe. Krystal breezes through long enough to interject that their babies' marriage is solid as a rock. Brooke catches Adam off guard and realizes he is plotting. She is right but Adam refuses to share the details and leaves to make a phone call. The doorbell rings. Since Brooke is the only one in sight, she answers it. It's Simone at the door looking for Tad. She refuses to let Pine Valley's newest "glamour don't" get her press-on-nails into Tad without a fight. Brooke assures her Tad can take care of himself and is not interested in Krystal.
Krystal pauses in the foyer to check her makeup. As she primps in her compact mirror, someone grabs her by the elbow and pulls her away. It is Tad. He pulls Krystal into the mansion's Underground Railroad tunnels. Krystal asks Tad, "So why don't you spill, handsome. What are you after?" Tad answers her with a passionate kiss. Krystal is suspicious of Tad's motives because he previously told her he wasn't interested. Tad tells her that seeing her with her daughter and how she protects her changed his mind. They continue kissing and fall "through the wall" into the living room where Simone is grilling Brooke on Tad's whereabouts. Tad catches Simone mid-air before she flies into Krystal and drags her outside. He tells Simone the only thing he is interested in playing with Krystal is "find the document." Tad tells Simone about the piece of paper Krystal hid in her bra. He assures Simone that she is the only woman who remotely interests him. She apologizes for getting in the way and leaves as Krystal comes out the front door. Tad says he sent Simone on her way because she is the jealous type. To convince Krystal he is sincere with her, Tad invites Krystal to spend New Year's Eve with him. Krystal says she must take a bubble bath first and asks Tad how he is at scrubbing backs.
JR tells Babe it is time to let him in on her secrets. He has to know them if he is going to protect her. After he tells her he will stand by her no matter what the world throws at them, Babe tells JR, "You were not my first." Lightheartedly JR tells her she wasn't his first either so not to worry about it. "No, JR. I mean you weren't my first husband," Babe says. She tells him about her one-night marriage. JR wants to know who he was. Babe tells him Paul Cramer. JR says he doesn't know him.
Brooke catches Adam celebrating alone in his living room. He thought she was gone. Brooke vows she is not going anywhere until she knows what kind of evil plan Adam is cooking up. Adam asks if she remembers Dorian Lord. Brooke does. Adam tells Brooke that she and her nephew, Paul Cramer, will be dropping by for a holiday visit.
At her condo, Aidan tries to convince Kendall that Ryan and Boyd are not the men she should be trusting. Kendall thinks Aidan is just jealous. They argue. Kendall tells Aidan that for the record she did love him. He tells her he can do without her kind of love and leaves. Back at the Pine Cone, Aidan smashes the bulletin board he's been plotting suspects on to try to keep Kendall out of jail. A knock at the door interrupts Aidan's "redecorating." It is Mia. She would like to spend New Year's Eve with him. Agreeable to the idea, Aidan grabs Mia and kisses her. Later as they roll around naked in the sheets, Aidan gives Mia a present. It is motorcycle earrings, a reminder of the ride they took together. Mia is touched. Aidan's cell phone ringing breaks up the Kodak moment. He tells someone on the other end that he will be there. Hanging up the phone, Aidan tells Mia he will have to miss the party but will be back in a couple of days.
Ryan carries a blanketed Greenlee down the hallway to his loft with her screaming all the way. She does not realize it is Ryan until he sits her down in his living room and removes the blanket. Greenlee "thanks" Ryan for keeping her safe with a punch in the jaw. When Greenlee tries to leave to meet Juan Pablo at the Pine Cone Ryan ties her to a column in the room. Upon being tied, Greenlee thanks Ryan for caring and for bringing her to her senses. He won't undo the ropes so Greenlee begins screaming that she has to see Pablo and that Leo would want her to. Ryan leaves her tied up and goes grocery shopping. After a while, Greenlee hears the front door open and close. Greenlee begs Ryan to cut the ropes but when she opens her eyes it is Kendall standing in front of her instead of Ryan. Greenlee tries to convince Kendall she is there for fun and games with Ryan. No sale, so Greenlee tells Kendall the truth about why Ryan tied her up. Ryan comes home and wonders how Greenlee turned the lights off. He flips the switch to find Greenlee gone. Kendall comes out and says she let her go because she wanted to see Pablo. Ryan leaves to go looking for Greenlee.
As Simone starts to knock on Aidan's door she sees Mia hiding in the bushes. Mia pulls Simone into the bushes with her before Aidan can hear her at the door. Aidan walks past. Simone asks Mia why they are spying on Aidan. Mia tells her about the phone call and thinks it was Kendall calling. As the girls look on, a woman gets in the car with Aidan. Of course, Mia thinks it is Kendall and is going to follow them. It's not Kendall though, it's Greenlee. Aidan is taking her to see Juan Pablo.
At Chandler mansion, Babe admitted to her mother that she'd told JR the truth that she had married Paul Cramer, but she hadn't told him the rest of the story since he'd never need to find out. Adam then excitedly introduced their guests, Dorian Lord and her nephew Paul Cramer from Llanview. Krystal gushed about meeting her, having read about Dorian in the tabloids for years. Dorian was not amused. Adam led the conversation towards Paul and Babe both being in San Diego at the same time. Babe pretended not to know Paul, but JR encouraged her to take a second look. JR told a tale about a toga party and too much booze and Babe "remembered" meeting him then. After Babe told her mom she needs to talk to Paul alone, Krystal told a tale about moving Adam's old wine bottles closer to the window and took Dorian by the arm to follow Adam to the wine cellar. JR then confronted Paul about being good at keeping secrets. Paul was clearly not interested in reliving the past and JR also got Babe to admit she'd run into Paul recently. JR warned Paul to stay away from his wife. Babe sent JR upstairs to get her vitamins and then asked Paul for his help in fixing a paternity test. He refused and then Babe informed him that they are still married because she never filed the annulment papers. Paul was frantic that the truth never comes out but Babe reminded him as long as she's with JR, no one needs to know and it all depends on the paternity test.
Adam and Dorian came back upstairs after locking Krystal in the wine cellar for lying about moving the bottles. They huddled and discussed Babe and Paul keeping secrets and Adam promised to dig up everything. Dorian cooed that Adam is even more attractive when conspiratorial. Adam smiled about how fun it was to have a partner and that his goal for the evening was to let JR see one of the many men from Babe's sordid past so that he will insist on a paternity test. He assured Dorian that he doesn't suspect Paul as the father yet, but if he does he'll let her know. She agreed she would like information on Paul, in light of the large inheritance he's about to get and she'd like power over him. They grinned and agreed to put their heads together and see where it leads. She smiled that when he called, she thought he might be looking for the next Mrs. Chandler. He laughed and said it might be too much of a good thing and Dorian laughed back and said he'd die with a smile on his face.
Krystal came back upstairs and told Adam she wouldn't retaliate because she can take a joke and she hopes he can. Adam told Paul that Dorian had left with his car and he could consider himself part of the family and spend the night.
Lena came to pick up Bianca for New Year's Eve and invited Maggie to join them, but she said she had a date. Just then Jamie arrived and went along with Maggie's story. Later, they did decide to go on a fake date to the party at the Valley Inn, since their hearts were both elsewhere.
Ryan and Edmund discussed Juan Pablo and Greenlee and Edmund told Ryan that Juan Pablo had done everything to ensure their safety tonight. Ryan left after Maria advised him to find someone special to celebrate with. Edmund and Maria enjoyed a romantic dinner and said Tad understood about canceling the Crystal Ball due to the dangers. They agreed to host it again next year, in Dixie's memory and danced away the evening together.
Ryan went to see Kendall and interrupted her housecleaning project. Kendall was still jealous of his attention to Greenlee and wouldn't accept the new dress he brought. She pretended to have another date, but eventually they went out together and Ryan promised her something special, where no one knows them.
Aidan delivered Greenlee to the Lodge for a romantic evening with Juan Pablo; she expressed fears for her safety and he expressed his love for her. Aidan caught Mia lurking in the bushes, jealous of Kendall and Aidan explained he brought Greenlee to the Lodge to see Juan Pablo. As Juan Pablo was asking Greenlee to spend the night, Aidan interrupted to say that security is not good enough because Mia broke through. Juan Pablo called Edmund for reinforcements from Wildwind and Aidan and Mia agreed to spend the night. Greenlee loved the gowns Juan Pablo had provided for her and he promised to make all her dreams come true. Aidan and Mia grew closer. Then security announced they had found intruders...Ryan and Kendall.
New Year's Eve in Pine Valley found most of the town celebrating at the Valley Inn party. Mary and Adam talked about getting Babe back to San Diego. Maggie and Jamie arrived and saw JR and Babe hugging. Maggie saw Jamie's face and realized Babe was the girl Jamie was pining over. Tad and Krystal arrived and she ran over to say hello to Babe. Brooke came in next to Tad and was disgusted that Tad was schmoozing Krystal. Babe walked past Jamie and asked if he was with Maggie now. He asked if she really cared and kept walking. Babe went into the girls' room and Paul Kramer followed her. He demanded that she get the annulment but she refused unless he helped fix the paternity test. Paul said she's committed bigamy and will do jail time. They argued and Babe said if she filed the papers now Adam would find out and tell JR. Paul refused to jeopardize his career. Babe stormed out of the restroom and Paul followed.
Tad told Brooke he saw Krystal and Babe exchange and discuss a document and he is sure this document will get Jamie out of trouble. Brooke said there were too many adults meddling in the kids lives and it was time to let them take care of things themselves. She joined her date and Krystal brought Tad a drink. Lena and Bianca walked in together. Tad complimented Krystal and she began to melt. Simone came up behind Tad and pointed her date out to him. She said he was there to help her when she got arrested later. Tad asked what she was going to get arrested for and Simone replied "For bashing her lights out!" and lunged for Krystal. Tad stopped her and dragged her off. He told her it was nothing but business to him and that he was trying to help Jamie. Simone finally believed him and her date showed up to take her to the dance floor. Meanwhile Krystal and Liza sat down together. Liza said Simone was interested in Krystal's intentions towards Tad. Krystal said "Right back at ya! What are yours?" Liza claimed to only care for Tad as a dear friend and Krystal said then Tad was free for the taking. Liza said Tad deserved a special woman and Krystal said his heart still belonged to Dixie. Tad returned and took Krystal onto the dance floor.
Maggie offered to help Jamie give Babe a pinch from the green eyed monster. They leaned in close and acted lovey-dovey in time for Babe to see. She glared at them and walked off. Paul followed her and started arguing with her again about their annulment. Jamie showed up and told Paul to lay off or he'd have to deal with him. Paul thought he was a body guard and Babe said he was better, he was her husband's brother. Paul left and Babe started buttering up Jamie, pouring on the charm and thanking him for standing up for her. Jamie said all he wanted was to take care of her and their baby. Babe said maybe it was time to talk it out. Jamie was very interested and she told him to wait and see what happened tonight. She walked back to the party and JR joined her.
Maggie and Bianca talked in the ladies' room. Bianca asked why she hadn't told her she was dating Jamie. Maggie said it was really no big thing and it was pretty new. Bianca said it made her nervous, she was worried about her friend getting hurt. Maggie said she was a strong girl and Jamie was a good guy so Bianca shouldn't worry. The two friends hugged, then went back to the party.
JR found Paul and asked him how he met and married Babe in one day. Paul answered "Tequila." JR was very hateful and cold and told Paul in no uncertain terms that he wanted him out of Pine Valley and away from Babe. Paul said he wants that too and that they have an understanding. Paul found Babe and told her he would not fix the paternity test. "Your new hubby will toss you back to San Diego if he finds out about the annulment so save your threats!" he told her. He walked away and Babe looked nervous. Maggie and Jamie stood together and talked. Babe signaled Jamie to join her so Jamie rushed over and left Maggie alone. Babe told Jamie to meet her in her hotel room at 12:15 because they needed to settle things. She walked over to JR and hugged him from behind.
Tad and Krystal danced and he poured on the compliments. Krystal asked why he was pushing so hard. Tad pretended he was rusty with women and that he was interested in her. Krystal said this was the most romantic New Year's Eve ever and Tad said "What do you say to us seeing where 2004 takes us?" Krystal said he could've had her from the beginning and Tad asked if the teasing portion of the evening was over. Krystal replied "I'm yours till dawn!"
Across the room Simone and Liza watched. Simone told Liza Tad said he was doing this for Jamie and that it was the truth. Liza was still very suspicious. Adam announced it was 2 minutes until midnight. The crowd counted down then erupted as the clock struck midnight. JR asked Babe if she wanted to go back to their room but she said no. She said she wanted to change clothes and she'd be right back down. She got his room key and walked away. As she walked out she reminded Jamie to meet her in 5 minutes and gave him the key. A few minutes later Jamie stood outside the door and knocked, then went in. He was stunned to find Babe in bed naked.
Downstairs Mary told Adam that Babe and Jamie were both missing and Adam was thrilled.
At the resort Greenlee yelled at Ryan that she didn't need his help. Mia accused Kendall of following Aidan. Pablo told them all to leave which caused a huge argument. Aidan told them all to shut up "We could have Def-Con 4 on our hands." Greenlee said she could do without all the drama because Pablo was taking care of her. Kendall told Ryan to take her to a real New Year's Eve party. Mia offered to leave and take Kendall with her. Ryan told Pablo not to put Greenlee in any danger and that he wasn't letting her out of his sight. Kendall said she wasn't staying any longer and headed out the door, followed by Mia and Aidan. Minutes later they returned saying they couldn't leave because the snow had drifted over the road. Pablo said they had a beautiful resort and they could all enjoy it. All of a sudden the room shook and rumbled. They all fell to the floor. As they got up Aidan ran out to check on things. He returned and said they weren't under any attack, it was a "back blast." Kendall started riding Ryan for wanting to help Greenlee and he said maybe they should "rethink their attraction." Kendall got very offended and asked "Is that all this is?" Pablo held Greenlee and told her he thought they could make this work. Kendall said she was going to find a bedroom and sleep through the new year. Aidan told everyone the blast knocked the furnace out. Ryan joked that at least they got to freeze to death together. They all began arguing again and Greenlee broke in to announce it was 5 minutes until midnight. Kendall said the big ball could drop on "all your pathetic heads, I'm going upstairs!." She stomped away. Aidan and Mia cuddled and she suggested they find a more private spot. Aidan said he needed to stay alert and she got upset and walked off. Greenlee sat on JP's lap and counted down to midnight then shared a passionate kiss. Ryan and Aidan watched then went upstairs. Ryan found a room and climbed in bed completely clothed. As he beat a pillow Kendall walked in and asked "Do you want an apology or will making love be acceptable?" Greenlee and JP found a room and were all over each other. All of a sudden Greenlee pulled back and said she was sorry. They could make love but it wouldn't change anything, he still wanted revenge and would end up dead. She said if they made love she wouldn't be able to let go. She begged him to give up the fight and stay with her. Pablo said he couldn't do that and Greenlee said "I guess this is over." Ryan and Kendall cuddled in bed (fully clothed). Greenlee walked in and said she needed to speak to Ryan. Kendall sat up and said to Ryan "STOP! I'm in bed with you and we're about to ring in the new year. Think very carefully about what you want to do." Ryan told Greenlee to come on in. Kendall stormed out of the room and found Mia and Aidan's room. She told Aidan he was right, Ryan did screw her over. Mia told her to go downstairs and get some hot cocoa. Aidan began soothing Kendall while Mia kept trying to get her to leave. Finally Mia realized they weren't paying any attention to her so she fled the room. Aidan pulled back the covers of the bed and Kendall climbed in. Mia knocked on Pablo's door and told him what happened. He said "Tonight didn't go the right way for anyone." They held each other. Ryan got Greenlee under the comforter in the bed and she told him she couldn't stick it out with Pablo, she didn't want to go through it again. Then she looked in Ryan's eyes and said she was so glad he was there. Ryan looked at her and replied "So am I."
Due to the New Year's holiday, today's episode was pre-empted. Regular programming will resume on Friday, January 2nd.
At The Valley Inn, Adam asks JR where his new wife is, since she wasn't partying with him anymore. JR ignores his question and once again, tells Adam that he knows about his evil ploy to break up his marriage to Babe. JR brings up Paul Cramer and points out that the real reason Adam brought him to Pine Valley was to get dirt on Babe. Of course, Adam denies the accusations and tells JR that he accepts Babe into their family. Mary sneaks over to JR and inquires about where Babe is. Simone asks Liza and Brooke where Tad is. They tell Simone they are not sure. Simone wonders if Krystal also being gone is connected to Tad, and Liza and Brooke don't seem too surprised. Simone tries to find Tad, Brooke ditches her date, and Liza plans to help Simone find Tad. Mary suggests to Adam that they ring in the New Year with a kiss. Adam agrees, but with the scene they displayed, they could have rented a room!
Jamie immediately asks Babe, "What the hell is going on?" She doesn't respond and instead of waiting for an answer, Jamie hops over onto the bed and begins kissing her. When Jamie admits his feelings, Babe bluntly tells him that she will have sex with him, if he will leave her alone about the baby's paternity. Jamie is shocked and stops kissing her. He tells her that he doesn't want to have sex with her--he wants to make love, like they did on their first night together. Babe tells him what they had was sex, and nothing more! She tells him she will sleep with him as many times as she needs to if he will leave her and JR alone. Jamie throws Babe's nightgown at her and tells her to get dressed. Babe tells him that she has used sex as a means to get out of problems before, but Jamie tells her she has more to offer a man than sex. He compliments her, trashes JR, and proclaims his love for her. Just when Babe seems to actually listen to Jamie, JR knocks on the door. Babe tucks Jamie in the closet and avoids JR's questions about the length of time it took her to answer the door and the rumpled bed sheets. When JR kisses her to set the mood, Babe makes an excuse about not wanting to make love and says "maybe it's the baby." JR gets suspicious and asks who she is really there to impress, if its not him. Babe tells JR to stop acting crazy and claims she was waiting for him, but fell asleep by accident. JR points out the rumpled sheets, how long it took for her to answer the door, her sexy nightgown, and her sudden "I'm not in the mood" attitude, which makes him think she is there to impress another guy. Babe demands they go home and when JR and Babe leave, Jamie comes out of hiding.
Krystal and Tad go to the hotel room and Krystal wastes no time with Tad. Krystal removes her earrings and then Tad removes her top, but is shocked when nothing slips out. Tad seems to chicken out about going further with Krystal and she asks what's wrong. Tad quickly says that he likes to take things slow. He tries to weasel out of the situation by bringing up protection, but Krystal has it covered-she says she never leaves home without it. When she goes to the bathroom, Tad picks up the bra and is still shocked that nothing falls out. When Tad comes out of the bathroom, she flashes Tad, knocks the bra out of his hand, and they finish what they started. After they are done and are lying in bed, Krystal tells Tad that he should be "rewarded" for completing his mission successfully. She lifts her leg up, takes off her high heeled shoe, and hands Tad a rumpled piece of folded up paper!
Aidan encourages Kendall to come closer to him in the bed for warmth--she is practically hanging of the edge of the bed. Kendall is hesitant, but comes closer and they share a kiss. Aidan pulls away and when Kendall tells him that she is through with Ryan and he CAN TAKE HER BACK NOW. Aidan tells her that he will honor his word by helping clear her name, but nothing more than that. Kendall pleads, apologizes, and begs for him to stay, but he leaves.
Mia tells Juan Pablo that she doesn't want to interfere with his relationship with Greenlee and begins to leave. Juan Pablo encourages her to stay and tells her that the relationship with Greenlee is over. Mia suggests that they go to sleep, but Juan Pablo is so much of a gentleman, that he refuses to get in the bed with Mia! Mia tries to encourage Juan Pablo to go back to Greenlee because they love each other, but Juan Pablo admits she isn't just scared of the gang-she is scared of getting hurt too. Aidan walks in and Juan Pablo leaves. Mia asks Aidan why he isn't with Kendall, soothing her every need and Aidan claims that he is done with Kendall. When Mia brings up her constant need for his help, Aidan admits that he will help her clear her name, but nothing more. Mia smiles when Aidan says that he wants to stick around and see where their relationship goes.
Greenlee is upset about breaking up with Juan Pablo and Ryan tells her that she has made the right choice. He also tells her that she deserves more than what Juan Pablo can offer, but Greenlee argues that there isn't anyone out there better for her. When Ryan gets out of bed and tries to get more wood for the fire, Greenlee asks him to stay with her. She thanks him for kidnapping her, but can't resist adding that Kendall is as much of a threat to him as Juan Pablo is to her! Ryan defends Kendall when Greenlee claims she killed Michael and isn't pregnant. Ryan tells Greenlee that is fulfilling Alexander's will, just as he wished. Thinking that Ryan is only using one organ instead of his heart to fulfill his needs, she kisses him, hoping to "deprogram" him. Kendall walks by and overhears Greenlee trying to get Ryan to team up with her and bring Kendall down, but Ryan refuses. Ryan gets tired of hearing Greenlee bash Kendall and leaves. Kendall comes in and shuts the door, ready to have words with Greenlee. Those girls bash each other; Kendall calls Greenlee's attempt to get Ryan in bed pathetic and Greenlee says her and Ryan spent hours together (where her name was not even mentioned in their conversation). Kendall calls Greenlee a liar. Greenlee tells her to believe what she wants, and run off to her precious Aidan. Kendall tells Greenlee that her and Aidan are only friends. When Greenlee tries to pat her stomach to say hi to the new baby, Kendall gets defensive and protective of her stomach. She runs out of room with Greenlee screaming behind her.
Ryan goes to Juan Pablo's room by accident, and Juan Pablo holds a gun to Ryan, startled by his intrusion. Juan Pablo puts the gun away and tells Ryan he should not just barge in other people's rooms. One of Juan Pablo's guards and close friends enters, speaks to Juan Pablo briefly, and then leaves. Juan Pablo tells Ryan that he will be leaving for Atlantic City soon to find one of the gang members. He asks Ryan to take care of Greenlee and Ryan sees that as a way of Juan Pablo saying he may never return. Ryan agrees to look after Greenlee and leaves. Kendall goes to see Juan Pablo and she suggests they do have a drink. When Juan Pablo reminds her she is pregnant, Kendall covers herself by saying she can always add an umbrella in her apple juice.
Ryan sees Greenlee in another room and when she asks him if Juan Pablo inquired about her, he says no. Greenlee does not seem surprised and when she hugs Ryan, they share a kiss.
Juan Pablo's friend pulls out a toolbox in the lobby, only there are no regular tools in this toolbox!
