Reva's dinner party last week was just an awkward mess. Cassie is slowly putting the pieces together, and it will end up making her see her relationship with Josh in a whole new light.

We've all done and said things we wish we hadn't - and it looks like there are a few characters in Springfield who can sympathize with us after this week.

First and foremost is Olivia. Never known for thinking things through (just look at what happened to her marriage to Bill Lewis when she spike Billy's drink) 'Liv has hired a hit man to kill her long-lost daughter. Not really warm and fuzzy - but the woman certainly has issues to deal with.

Now the question is, will Ava really be killed or can Olivia find her in time? The hit man says that it's too late, but I haven't found anything out one way or another as of yet. Olivia has some troubles ahead - so this story isn't going away just yet.

Speaking of stories that will just never end, Reva's dinner party was just an awkward mess. Now I don't have any exes myself, but I can't imagine wanting to invite them to dinner with me. But Cassie is slowly putting the pieces together - and it will end up making her see her relationship with Josh in a whole new light (pardon the pun). The one major plus in this story is seeing Jordan Clarke all of the time. The chemistry between Jordan, Robert Newman and Kim Zimmer cannot be scripted - and is a treat for GL fans. But the "Crash" relationship has fractured another group of unhappy fans.

Even though I normally avoid message boards and the like, I do know that many of you are boycotting Monday's "Crash" love-fest. I can't say that I blame you - there have been several storylines that have made me want to turn the show off for good (killing off Maureen Bauer, recasting Roger Thorpe and the clone storyline among them) but for some reason - my loyalty wins out. Believe me, there are plenty of days when I wonder about why I hang in there, but the show has been a part of my life for ¾ of my life, so I can't really abandon them. Still, I appreciate your views and hope the writers give you something to enjoy viewing soon.

In the coming weeks, we have a few fan favorites returning short term to the show (in addition to Maeve Kincaid and Kurt McKinney). Kimberly J. Brown (all grown up now) will return for a short visit as Marah returns to Springfield. She was a pre-teen Marah in the 1990's. And Jennifer Roszell comes to Springfield for a day in October when Marina is featured "Inside the Light".

However, all of these short-term appearances, and permanent departures (Tom Pelphrey, Stephanie Gatschet, Nicole Forrester among others) makes me nervous. Yes, the casting could be done to gain back former viewers, or to prepare to say goodbye to GL. I hope this isn't the case, but I know many of you have expressed similar sentiments. If I hear anything - I'll let you know.

Looking forward to this week, it looks like there will be some serious fireworks this week at Towers when two dinner parties collide. A trip to Vegas ends some confusion and one couple we haven't seen much in ages start a new chapter in their lives. This makes me hopefully for the show coming into the new year. I'm keeping my fingers crossed...

Until next week...

Keep the Light Shining and have a great week!
Kimberly
